Factions in Call to Battle 2 are not only what make each battle diverse but also what organizes most of the game.

Factions are a very important aspect of the game and one of the most time consuming things for the developers to add. Factions help represent CtB's historical accuracy too and are a key component to every map in the game.

Most maps have two factions to play as (ex: Omaha has U.S. vs Germany) some have 4 (ex: Kasserine Pass has U.S. and U.K. vs Italy and Germany) and some are uneven (ex: Continuation has Germany, Finland and Italy vs the Soviet Union).
