Outpost is a map featured in Call to Battle 2. It is set during the German invasion of Belgium in 1940, at an unidentified Belgian outpost.
As part of Case Yellow, Germany was to attack weak Allied units in the Low Countries of Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg to trick the Allied forces into an encirclement maneuver. German units crossed into Belgium on 10th May, 1940; the first day of the invasion. The first Belgian fort to be attacked was Fort Eben-Emael located near the Belgian-Dutch border by German paratroopers. Other forts and outposts were either overwhelmed or abandoned by the Belgians. Through a combination of Blitzkrieg tactics and coordinated assaults, the Belgians surrendered after 18 days of fighting.
