Dog Green
Dog Green is a map featured in Call to Battle 2. It takes place in the Dog Green sector of Omaha Beach during the Normandy landings on June 6th, 1944.
Dog Green was a sector of Omaha Beach that is located near the French commune of Vierville-sur-Mer, Normandy. The 1st Battalion, 116th Infantry Regiment of the 29th Infantry Division was assigned to this sector and tasked with capturing WN 71 and 73. Both Widerstandsnestes housed 50mm casemates. Dog Green was also heavily defended by German forces as the sector contained the Vierville Draw which was a road that leads straight to Vierville-sur-Mer. When American troops from A-Company of the 1st Battalion landed on the beaches, the Germans opened fire from their bunkers which were untouched by the initial naval bombardment, resulting in a massive loss of life.
